Tipical basque progressive band from the label Elkar in the 70's, although
their third record (the best one) was released by Xoxoa. Folkie
ambiences and melancolic atmospheres. Progressive rock with lots of
folk influences. Sung in bask laguage. In 2002 a re-release in vinyl has
been made hthrough the label Guerssen. Anje Duhalde went to
Akelarre after Errobi and then followed a
long soloist career.
"Ametsaren Bidea" (Xoxoa, 1979) was the best record ever made in
the basque progressive, in a level of Música
Urbana or Imán, for example. In contrast to most of the basque bands, in this record (and only in this one) they
were able to integrate the musical elemnts of the basque tradition in the
rock domain. The record walks between progressive and jazz rock,
with those basque folk touches. The brief drums solo in the theme
"Ametsaren Bidea" is the best I've heard in the spanish progressive by
that time. Javier Aguirre en "Atropos"
Anje Duhalde released with Xoxoa a soloist record: "Errobiaren hegitik" in 1980. Excellent progressive with some folk ambiences,
very similar to Errobi. (Antoni; Guerssen Records)
"Gure Lekukotasuna" has been reissued in 2004 by Guerssen Records.
