Croma was a sumphonic-jazz rock band that joined in the second half
of the 70s, with Toni Puigas technician. Recently (2015) Lluis Escarráhas compiled all the band's track from that time in a CD
that it is planned to name "Doble Cos".
I would place them musically as musical o estilísticamente entre
unos Gotic, Atila or
Iceberg. Their jazz rock laietano, although they say it is in the context of the Magic venue, has fast moments,
in contrast with more symphonic moments, attributed to their keyboard
player Josep Maria Trotta.
Lluis Escarrá comments us…
“We were closer to Magic than to Zeleste. We performed a lot of times
there and in August 1977 we went to the Calella Camping Rock, opening
for Triana.
We were the masters of “la plana de Vic” (maybe because there were
no others there). I was 6 years younger than the other guys in the
band..
“We lasted from 75 to 78 and recorded in 79. They were self-produced
in a semi-professional studio using an 8-trck recorder. “For recording
then you should be very good or very well connected and we were not either”. The keyboardist was the only one with music studies. He
already died, so that's why we never re-record again."
Recently we could retrieve the recordings and digitize them.
This way, with the computer, I began to restore all that stuff.
