I've got the record taped, but I think it was recorded by "Chapa
Records". It had a bautifull cover, in the Iceberg style. The band was
from catalonia and the name came from the "Borne Market" of
Barcelona. Their style was similar to
Dharma"La Dharma"
but less "cobla" and a heavier sound, whith a fantastic rhythmic work,
very advanced for that time.

Watch it! In their second album they left the progressive style to play
more in a funky style. (Diego Herrera)
Borne were a band with more richness live than in studio
(very common circumstance for the bands of that time). They had a
good instrumental dexterity, with well composed and arranged themes,
where melody and arrangements were more important than solos (just
the opposite to Iceberg). For me, the most iimportant influence for them was Chick Corea and its Return to
Forever, then (for their second album) it was evident that they heard
Police a lot. The "funky" element was always present in their music.
