 Opinions and other informations:

Outstanding group from the Basque country. This is certainly up there with the best Spanish bands. I have their first two albums. Their style is a mixture of folk (Basque folk, that is, not flamenco), prog-rock and a little jazz. They have excellent vocals, but as they sing in the Basque language, I have no idea what they are saying. (The Basque language has no similarities to Spanish or to any other known language and nobody knows where it came from.) The musicianship is top notch and includes generous flute. Highly recommended. (Juan Joy)

Itoiz is a long-carreer band that released the self-named record (Xoxoa, 1978), being one of the best basque progressive albums ever, with lots of good music, flute and guitar solos. Then came "Ezekiel" and "Alkolea", not as good as the former, but still in the progressive genre Then, they left the progressive style. (José M. Iñesta)

Former to their first record, the first Itoiz line-up were named Indar Trabes and they played in village festivals. Most of the themes contained in their first record were already played by this initial band. They had a great live show! (Xabier Oleagoitia)
