Few words are needed to explain the progressive style of this Swedish band. They sound like Anglagard. It's just as if Anglagard had not break-up and continued with another name. With no doubt, the originality of Sinkadus is yet to be discovered, but actually the Anglagard sound was not much exploited by that time and they do not copy anything. So we can not refer to Sinkadus as clones.

Sinkadus explores the more melodic, pastoral, and quiet face of Anglagard, less virtuous and stormy than them. Fewer sudden changes can be found in this work than in those of Anglagard. All four tracks are quite good. Basically progressive rock, symphonic rock, and pastoral music, with flute melodies, mellotron, organs, and guitars, and the whole dark and sinister Anglagard ambient. All tracks have vocals, but the instrumental parts predominate.

Summarizing, a recommended work, in spite of the fact that it does not reach a high standard of creativity.

Rating: 7.5/10
