Indukti are the new polish sensation of the season. They released
S.U.S.A.R., their first album in 2004 just for the polish local market, and
like their country fellows Riverside the previous year, now The Laser's Edge
label has released it worldwide.
We are in front of a five-piece band, mostly instrumental, with some tracks
adding the voice of Mariusz Duda, vocalist from the mentioned Riverside. I
think that Indukti knows how to benefit, best than anybody in these days, of
the legacy from the most thunderous King Crimson, complementing their sound
with the best contemporary prog, specially Tool, but also other bands like
Opeth, Porcupine Tree, or the same Riverside.
An album with no space for relax or low intensity. Powerful guitar riffs and
rythm section are the basic layer for sharp guitars and violins in a
permanent status of progression, reaching brutal intensity moments. There
are impressive potent tracks like no. 11812, Uluru, Freder, or ..and weak II
and we also have a moment to breath in between all this energy with the song
Cold Inside....I.
Impressive debut from one of the bands that can rule the progressive scene
in the following years. For the moment, Indukti have a lot of chances of
becoming the prog revelation of the year, in the same way Riversive was in
2004. Let's see if like their country fellows they also change to a bigger
label like InsideOut for their next releases.
Valoration : 8/10
